They Can't Be Them Until You See Them

A brief independently set, researched and responded to in order to complete my degree, essentially a visual dissertation. 

 

An average journalism degree cohort is made up of 2/3 female students. However, the media industry’s female staff only make up a 1/3 of its total workforce. They Can’t Be Them Until You See Them is a campaign which urges the media industry to recognise the value of their female workforce in order to inspire the next generation of female journalists. The eyes of both current and prospective female journalists stare down the industry in this confrontational visibility campaign.  For my process, click here to jump to the project document
